Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, a time to celebrate your loved one with sweets, champagne --- and fireworks! Those of you planning a date might not immediately think of fireworks as a romantic activity, but if you think about it, fireworks can set the tone for what is sure to be a sparkling evening. Fireworks are watched in the dark which is condusive to stolen kisses and snuggling. Fireworks are breath-taking and will make your heart skip a beat or two, just like love. And, fireworks put stars in your eyes and make everything about your honey seem extra special.
Even Brad Womak, the current bachelor on ABC’s The Bachelor, took his date, Shawntel, to a private display of fireworks over the skyline of Las Vegas. Will they wed? Did the firework romance work? Only time will tell! But we think that watching fireworks burst into the air certainly made a big impression unlike most other dinner and a movie dates.
Romantic firework displays can be found all around the world. For example, In Malaysia, pyromusicals watched from yachts floating around in the harbor are a popular date activity, especially on Valentine’s Day. Couples watch fabulous fireworks reflecting onto the water to synchronized music while sipping champagne and nibbling on aphrodisiac appetizers. Spectacular displays of pinks and reds are shot up into the air with some even shaped to look like hearts as they blossom outward. In Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Valentine’s Day is celebrated with a torchlight parade and fireworks show held with majestic mountains in the background.
